1. Sign up for a free North Developer account.
2. Apply for an ecommerce Merchant Processing Account. Once approved, a Merchant ID (MID) will be provided to you. While your application is being processed, you may continue to the next steps to begin testing using Sandbox credentials.Apply For Merchant Processing Account
3. Navigate to the North Developer BigCommerce page and select the button near the top labeled "Get Sandbox Credentials."
4. A modal will appear with information about using the provided credentials in the Sandbox environment only. Read the statement and select "Acknowledge And Continue" if you agree.
5. EPI ID and EPI Key values will be displayed in a modal, and can be referenced again when logged in by selecting the User profile icon in the top right corner of the screen and selecting Credentials. These credentials will be used in step 6.
6. In your BigCommerce store settings, use the side menu to navigate to Store Setup > Payments. Scroll down to the “Additional providers” and expand the “Online Payment Methods” section. Click “Set Up” next to Electronic Payment Exchange in the list.
7. Enter your Sandbox EPI ID and EPI Key in the appropriate fields. Use the checkbox to enable Test mode, which allows you to safely test the payment module without processing live transactions. You will disable Test mode in step 12 after you have tested your integration and have received Production credentials.
8. Click the “Enable” button in the Credit Card section.
9. Adjust the Transaction Type setting if needed. Use the dropdown options to select Authorize and capture or Authorize only. Authorize only allows you to capture the funds manually. See Manually Capturing Transactions (Authorize Only) to learn more.
   
   
   
   
   
10. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
11. The payment form’s appearance will vary based on your BigCommerce storefront theme. The following is one example of how it may appear:
    
    
    
    
    
12. Once testing is complete you will receive a MID. You or an authorized contact will need to email the Equipment Solutions Team at equipmentsolutions@paymentshub.com for Production credentials. Please include your MID in the subject line of the email. For example: “MID 1234567 Requesting Production Credentials for BigCommerce".
13. In your BigCommerce store, navigate to the Electronic Payment Exchange Settings tab and enter your Production EPI ID and EPI Key in the appropriate fields. Disable Test mode by unchecking the box to begin processing live payments.
